Hussain Sajwani founded Damac Properties, a residential real estate company, in 2002. Hussain founded the company to take advantage of Dubai government’s decree to allow foreigners to acquire and own property in the Arab Emirates.

Hussain Sajwani discovered that non-Emiratis were the main apartment buyers. He initially started investing in food services which became successful thus attracting clients from different parts of the world. Some of his clients during that time include; construction giant Bechtel and the U.S military.

Hussain Sajwani purchased land in an undeveloped area and built a 38-storey residential building which he sold within six months. Since then, Sajwani has played a significant role in improving Dubai’s image to investors and the rest of the world. Damac Properties is associated with eye-catching marketing stunts, luxury apartments, and glitzy property developments. Even though he owns a real estate company as his primary source of income, he still owns a food service company. Learn more about Hussain Sajwani: https://twitter.com/hussainsajwani
