Jennifer Walden is a plastic surgeon out of Austin, Texas. She studied at the University of Texas and graduated as the saluditorian of her class. She spent the early years of her work in New York, where she completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the Manhattan eye, ear and throat hospital. During her time in New York, she also built a successful company. Dr. Jennifer Walden has spent eight years of her life working in the field of plastic surgery, and has become very good at what she does. Her main focus includes cosmetic surgery such as face lifts, eyelid lifts, nose jobs and breast augmentations. Prices for such jobs vary, but usually range from seven to ten thousand dollars each. Walden is also experienced in liposuction and minimally invasive procedures such as botox. She is one of the very few female board-certified plastic surgeons in the country. (About 90% are male surgeons.) Additionally, she is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. This is one of the highest organizations available to board-certified cosmetic surgeons. Becoming a plastic surgeon takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Often times, trainees will be required to take five years of post-medical school training, and possibly another two years of fellowship. With plastic surgery being so male-dominant, Jennifer had to work very hard to accomplish the things that she did. The good thing about being a female in this field is that nine out of ten procedures are done on women. Being a woman puts Jennifer at an advantage of understanding how her patients feel and think about themselves. Many of her patients have personally told her that they are more comfortable talking to a female surgeon about their bodies. Walden enjoys helping her patients feel more confident in their bodies.
