Border Angels

Located in San Diego, Border Angels is a leading nonprofit group that fights for various migrant communities. The main focuses are the Mexican migrants who are easily exploited and face harsh weather through their migration routes.

Border Angels origin is based on two people who offered to help through a humanitarian effort. These include Enrique Morones and Ethel Kennedy. This led to a humanitarian and media collaboration in an effort to advocate the survival of migrant communities.

The founder did this through his church congregation as a Catholic. Through the media, they expose the various challenges the migrants are facing. This attracts the attention of the government, nation and various individual in an effort to assist in their various capacities. This leads to the formation of a common pool from both US and Mexico in an attempt to care for the migrants.

Due to the dry climate in the canyon, they provide water tanks for the migrants. Legally, they lead talks to the migrants about their rights in an attempt to sensitize them. They represent the migrants in various humanitarian events and speak on their behalf.

Campaign Zero

Police violence and killings have been a major societal issue in the U.S and all over the world. This leads to violation of human rights. Trough an effort by various lawyers, religious leaders, and communities to stop the victimized killings, they started the campaign.

The campaign focuses on a peaceful community where police and locals, despite the race, can live in peace. It also aims at finding justice to various violated individuals, especially the black community. It focuses on bringing the dirty cops to book. It has achieved numerous achievements through its mass demonstration. This has led to changes in the constitution in numerous U.S states.

Arizona’s Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund

The funding organization was formed Through Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin act of bravery during victimization. Their aim was to make a positive impact on the Hispanic community that faced various victimizations. Their act of bravery is considered a major contribution to the creation of the fund which facilitates various humanitarian migrant groups and individuals.

The Phoenix New Time exposed the illegal activities carried by Joe Arpaio. He was renowned for illegally arresting any critics that talked negatively about his activities. According to the migrants, he was involved in creating fear against them through threats.

Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin were considers Arizona’s civil heroes for their act of bravery. Through a public demand, they were released from the jail.

They pressed charges against the county sheriff. Through the U.S highest court appeal, the duo was compensated a total of 3.75 Million US Dollars. This enabled justice to be served to the other local publishers, jail inmates, and Mexican migrants.

Due to their philanthropic nature, they established Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund aimed at enhancing human rights and helping the various Mexican communities.
